Bengaluru, Sep 13: On Friday, chief minister B S Yediyurappa’s home office ‘Krishna’ had an uninvited visitor, ‘a golf ball’. A strong stroke by a golfer playing in Bengaluru Golf Club (BGC) resulted in the ball breaching the premises of ‘Krishna’ situated near the golf course on Kumara Krupa Road. 

However, this incident is not the first of its kind. Golf balls often land in ‘Krishna’ and the authorities see it as a security breach. 

In July 2018, a golf ball had cracked the windshield of the car belonging to IPS officer Seemanth Kumar Singh, parked inside ‘Krishna’. When H D Kumaraswamy was the chief minister, a golf ball had landed inside ‘Krishna’ during a Janata Darshan event. 

When Dr G Parameshwara was the home minister, he had acknowledged that golf balls landing in the premises of CM’s home office, accounts to security breach and said he would review security measures and explore options on relocating the golf course. 

The Bangalore Golf Course is famed to be the oldest golf course outside British Isles established in June 1876.
