Media Release

London, Sep 10: "On September 8, South Kanara Association (SKA) London, celebrated the feast of Nativity of mother Mary, which is a rich cultural heritage of the Mangalurean community.

More than 400 people participated in this grand celebration with great spirituality and devotion.
The celebration began with a procession to adore our Lady, along with enthusiastic flower offering from little children and blessing of the corn as a symbol of new harvest by Fr Henry Sequeira from USA.

The holy eucharistic mass was next with an inspirational sermon and melodious hymns sung by the choir led by Alwyn Saldhana, which made the mass a huge celebration.

After mass, various delicious Mangalurean dishes of vegetarian lunch along with idli and traditional vorn were served.

Thereafter, mindblowing performances from Voice of SKA and Naach London Naach were next. Various amazing talents presented on the day will be available on youtube and facebook soon.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of recent picnic games and cricket match by Sr Jessica Crasta, Jyothi D'Souza and Fr Henry. The day ended with Baila dance to the accompaniment of wonderful tunes of Chico.

All the sponsors, volunteers, members who prepared the delicious meal and everyone attending the celebration are thanked. It was indeed a memorable community Monthi feast celebration.
