I join a great number of people in extending a warm and hearty welcome to The New D.C. Sindhu Rupesh on being appointed as deputy commissioner of DK

Mangalore has a long and good history. It was a peaceful town way back in twenties and thirties when I was a schoolboy. The D.C. then was termed COLLECTOR.

Hope Mrs. Sindhu Rupesh will have a happy and fruitful tenure in Mangalore. I extend these greetings from distant America and it will be my pleasure to personally extend my wishes to the the new D.C. when I return to India in November.

I wish to echo the good wishes expressed by my friend Joe and even though I am just a few years younger, I remember the days when DC used to be called Collector; in fact one of my close family member was a Deputy Collector during my school days in Mangaluru (then called Mangalore). Mrs. Rupesh you will be a great success and I am sure you will charm all those you come across!

Welcome to Mangalore, Wish you all the best & good support from us.
Good to see women in top posts. Women never support or indulge in corruption in most of the cases.
I expect you to do a commendable job that you will be remembered in each & every household of entire district. Fankly speaking DC is more powerful than anyone else. We will support you in each & every good decision you take except school holidays.
