Mangaluru, Aug 23: Much awaited Konkani film ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’ hit the screens on Friday, August 23. The film produced under Preston Enterprises banner, is directed by Melwyn Elpel and produced by Henry D’Silva,
Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop emeritus, Mangaluru Diocese blessed the first show while, Konkan Maina Meena Rebimbus, opened the premiere by cutting the ribbon. Walter Nandalike, founder, Daijiworld Media Group, Anil Lobo, chairman, MCC Bank, Melwyn Elpel, director, Norbert D Souza, associate director and actors of the movie and crew members were present on the dais.
In his introductory speech, Henry D Silva said “The support received by audience for my earlier movie ‘Nashibacho Khel’ inspired me to produce ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’. This is my dream project and from the day first itself I got huge support from my well-wishers. With this movie, I gave more than fifty actors chance to showcase their talents and skills on big screen. I am happy with my team especially director, artistes and crew. We have tried to give our best and now the film is with the audience. It is my kind request to the Konkani speaking people to come to the theater and support us.”
In his inaugural speech Dr Aloysius Paul said “The title of movie ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’ means the destiny of individuals. Our destiny is written by God and as per him our lives are planned. I congratulate Henry D Silva and his entire team for this movie. These types of projects help us individually to learn positive things through entertainment. At the same time it brings name and fame for our mother tongue Konkani. Lot of finance and efforts are needed for a movie. But as passionate lovers of Konkani, Henry with his team has made ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’. Now they need our support. Hope the movie will create records in Konkani film industry.”
Norbert D Souza briefed about project and rendered vote of thanks. Roshan Crasta compered the event.
Large number of film lovers graced the first show and gave full marks for the project. The direction and production were appreciated by audience after the show.
Film ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem ’is based on unique story on the obstacles and anxieties faced by the person looking for love.
In his debut as a lead actor Pratap Menezes has acted very well and lived the role efficiently doing justice to the story and has succeeded to keep his charm ithroughout the movie. Seema Buthello has appeared as heroine in the movie and has given her hundred percent to the with her signature moves and class acting. Hera Pinto, well-known designer and compere, has also acted in this movie and proved that she is good in acting also . She looks promising and confident on the screen.
The tunes and lyrics of late Wilfy Rebimbus make the movie melodies and gives right flow for the story. The movie also gives an opportunity to enjoy the music of R Pappan–Joswin duo.
Director Melwyn Elpel has given the professional touch to the entire project and he has succeeded in bringing out a good movie with standard story, screenplay and visuals. The rural sceneries of coastal Karnataka make movie richer and closure to hearts.
