Mumbai, Aug 21: Vashi police arrested a twenty-seven-year-old woman delivery girl, working with Zomato, on charges of abusing and robbing on-duty traffic constables.

According to local police, on August 8 at around 5 pm, Priyanka Mogre parked her two-wheeler in a no-parking area in Sector 17 in Vashi. As traffic constables penalised her, she abused them. On seeing that the cops recorded her on their phones, she too pulled out her own phone to record the cops.

As reported in Mumbai Mirror, a police official said, “When some constables took a photo of her bike, she yelled at them. The rant went on for about 11 minutes. She even refused to come to the police station.” Mogre is booked by the police for assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty, attempt to commit robbery, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation.

The accused however said that she was only seated on her bike when the cops wanted to challan her.
