Udupi, Aug 20: The land of Lord Krishna is getting ready to celebrate His birthday. Krishna Janmasthami, a popular festival for the people of Udupi is nearing. All the devotees of Lord Krishna are prepared for the festival.

The festival this year is celebrated on August 23 and 24. Various types of competitions and cultural events will be organised by various associations. ‘Muddu Krishna’ competition attracts a large number of participants from all over Udupi. Cute little children dressed as Lord Krishna perform on stage.

Daijiworld Udupi had also organized Muddu Krishna photo contest in the previous year which received a great response.

This year, on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Daijiworld Udupi is all set to organise ‘Yashonandalala Photo Contest’. This time, it is a unique competition, as both mother and the child will be participating in the contest.

Daijiworld Udupi will present attractive prizes for winners. Those bagging the first, second and third prizes will get mementos, cash prizes of Rs. 3,333, Rs. 2,222 and Rs. 1,111 along with certificates respectively. There will be five consolation prizes as well.

• Edited and photos with water mark will be rejected
• Minimum image size 5*7 inches
• Last date for the submission of photos August 26
• 3 different photos in 3 angles of Yashodha- Krishna are mandatory
• Age of mother should be in between 20-35 years
• Maximum age of participating child is 3 years (as per August 26, 2019)
• Birth certificate of child and ID proof of mother are mandatory
• Address and contact information of the parents should be attached with photos
• Judges decision is final
