Bengaluru: Disqualified MLA MTB Nagaraj buys Rolls-Royce worth Rs 11 crore

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 16: The recently disqualified MLA MTB Nagaraj is in news again. However, this time for buying India’s most expensive car, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII.

The luxury car is currently the most expensive vehicle available on sale in India and costs Rs 9.5 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). When one calculates the on-road price, it costs a whooping Rs 11 crore.

Nagaraj’s purchase was brought to the media attention by Congress politician Nivedith Alva, who posted a picture on twitter.

Sources reveal that Nagaraj visited the Avimukteshwara temple in his hometown of Hoskote in his new car. Later, he left in his swanky car to meet the Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa.

Nagaraj, before his disqualification, was the MLA of Hoskote and the Karnataka housing minister. Prior to the Karnataka Assembly elections in 2018, he had declared assets worth Rs 1,015 crore.

Nagaraj was termed as the richest MLA in India, in a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms.

In his declaration, Nagaraj, who belongs to Kuruba community, had claimed that his main sources of income were agriculture, house property, business, and other sources.

Phantom VIII is the successor of the Phantom model that had a runtime of almost 16 years.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is made using a new-age aluminum space frame platform and the car is powered by a massive 6.75-litre petrol engine. The V12 unit twin-turbo engine churns out 563 Bhp of power along with 900 Nm of peak torque. This enables the car to reach 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

long ago, Rolls Royce would decide to sell you a vehicle after checking your 'pedigree'. Though it sounds wrong, I wish they did so even now! and the IT Dept. will never ask this chap the source of his income. When I close a home loan prematurely, I need to reveal the source of funds to my bank!! Best career for anyone - politics; you need neither education nor skill.

The flood victims in 23 districts are shelterless begging for food, clean water, and medicines.

But these 'operation Kamala' MLA's who enjoyed the stayed Mumbai five star hotel resulted in coalition government fall and necessitated bye-election now enjoying the BJP's open check.

Imagine it is opposition Congress or other party members 'Enforcement Directorate' would have already raided his residence.

The BJP Karnataka Chief Minister 'corruption icon' in Delhi for cabinet expansion.
The disqualified MLA's awaiting for court orders to join BJP ministry in luxury car shopping spree.

In yesterday independence day speech PM Modi says that every effort made to remove corruption and black money is welcome.

"These are menaces that have ruined India for 70 long years. Let us always reward honesty," he says.

He was super rich even before entering politics unlike dks, reddys who looted our state after entering into politics. He was made to contest against bacchegowda (now BJP MP frm chikballapur) and his son from hoskote who was also from a royal family.. So it was a battle of two bigshots in hoskote for the past 20yrs. He is loyal to siddu and won't be suprised if he returns to party for the next assembly elections.
