Beltangady: Tahsildar shows concern - Carries head-load for flood-affected people

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Aug 16: Tahsildar of the taluk, Ganapati Shastri, became a role model for other officials who normally believe in keeping distance from physical work and cultivate a sense of superiority complex over the common people.

Heavy rain which lashed Banjarumale area in this taluk during last Friday had resulted in flood which washed away an old bridge at Banjarumale. With the help of locals and journalists, a temporary bridge was built there by using wood on Wednesday. This bridge was used to transport provisions and other things needed by 46 families living on the other side of this bridge on Thursday August 15.

Tahsildar of the taluk, Ganapati Shastri, who supervised distribution of food and other items, himself carried bagful of rice on his head to the other side of the bridge.

16 kinds of items including rice, dal, and oil were distributed among the affected families of Banjarumale on this occasion. The tahsildar not only inspired others to work for the people in distress but he himself got involved with it out of humanitarian concern.

During the worst flood witnessed by the taluk last week, Shastri had got into the act himself and had joined hands with others in saving people facing danger. During the recent Lok Sabha election, he had carried electronic voting machines on his head when placing them in the strong room.

The tahsildar's humanitarian concern has been praised by people in social media which have been agog with reports about his working style.

Tahsildar Ganapati Shastri showed humanity as above all. This is the lessons for those politicians who pit one another in the name of religion.

I appreciate his humbles and commitment to his job. Sir, You are the guidelines for today's youth of India.

His actions are speechless. This is the lessons for our MLA's who had to enjoy Mumbai hotel stay to topple the government for selfness.

While BJP's MLA's of Coastal districts enjoying 'Rain', tahsildar action worth praising.

Where are those Swatch Bharath volunteers and demolition squad of 'Kar Sevakas' had gone?

    Mr SMR,
    Don't ask where is A? & where is B?
Just involve yourself if you are really much concerned about rain affected people.

My big salute to Ganapati Shastri and God bless you abundantly in whatever you do. You have done what others have not done and you have given encouragement to others who helped in this mission impossible. There are few who would have done this work.

Why you need shobhakka at this hour. She busy assisting yeddiruppa to choose able cabinet ministers. Her role now in party is manifold. By the way what you are doing...as in individual capacity. Why not you carry small small materials up above your head and do some help. Even god will also shower blessing on you..not only on shastri.

When head of people with co-workers things start to move fast. When we dictate others work should be done..nobody bother. Try always giving helping hand with others if needed 100% results. What done by tahsildar is right thing. saathi haaath badna...ek akela tak jaaye milkaar bhoj uthana.. In life always stood first to help others in all circumstances keeping status away. Than only life looks good and feel happy. Some people always find excuse if comes to help others manually.
