Moodbidri, Aug 10: The incident in which director of ‘Atidonji Dina' Tulu movie, Muhammed Haris from Konajekallu had succumbed to his injuries in a road accident which happened on March 21 this year at Moodukonaje near here, has acquired a new hue.

Father of Haris, Adam from B K House in Marpady here, filed a complaint with the police sub-inspector here on Friday August 9, expressing suspicion behind his son's demise. He has urged the police probe the entire case afresh.

He stated that shooting of the movie was being carried out at a site that was located a little distance away from his home. "Haris had told me that he would come home, have dinner and go to bed. He got a telephonic call twice at around 11.20 pm that day. He left home in an Omni car, telling us that he would be back shortly. Thereafter, in the case registered, it was said that his car swerved to the right of the road at around 11.30 pm and hit a roadside tree. Under what circumstances and why did the car moved to the right? Who shifted the car from the spot of the accident? Who was the person who saw the accident first? Who called the ambulance?" he wants to know.

"The accident happened when Haris was moving towards Shirtady from his house, and not when he was coming back home. But in some of the records, this wrong information has been recorded. Who are responsible for this misinformation? Under what circumstances had a tussle occurred between some persons from the cinema team at the shooting site and Haris?" he has questioned.

He said that Haris had three SIM cards bearing 9901659938, 8105035067 and another unknown number. He has complained that these SIM cards were not returned to the family so far, adding that a purse belonging to Haris was alone given back. He wants to know why the police are dithering in the matter of returning the cellphones, and said that the messages received in the cellphone number ending with 9938 on which Haris used to get threats, need to be checked. He asked the police to scrutinize call details of all persons who are found to be suspects, including the person who held cellphones belonging to his late son.
