Mangaluru, Aug 3: Young promising talent from the city, Shrikanth Rai will make his Sandalwood debut in Joseph Ninasam directorial 'Rohitashwin'.

Shrikanth Rai, who hails from Gurupur, son of Jaganath Rai and Usha J Rai, made his debut on big screen through Tulu movie 'Barke'. He will also be seen in next Tulu flick ‘Aaye Yer’.

Shrikanth Rai pursued his MBA at Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management Nitte. Even though a job was ready abroad, Shrikanth Rai preferred to choose acting as his profession.

Shrikanth was working as an RJ at Big FM during his college days. When celebrities used to come for interviews, Shrikanth used to get inspired and that triggered his interest towards becoming an actor.

As per guidance of Madhu Surathkal, Shrikanth joined Suchithra film Academy, where he met ‘Rohitashwin’ director Joseph Ninasam.

He underwent training, focused on body fitness and prepared himself to be an actor. Shrikanth is paired opposite Mangalurean Tanuja Pawar in ‘Rohitashwin’.

Shrikanth also played a supporting role in yet to release Kannada movie ‘Don Kumara’. At present he has one Kannada and Tulu project in his kitty.
