Bengaluru: IMA mega scam - Seven directors arrested, Mansoor Khan missing

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 13: The commercial street police have arrested seven directors of IMA Jewels here, relating to defrauding hundreds of crores of rupees to thousands of its investors by the firm.

The investors who reposed faith on the company, its promoter and directors, and invested their hard earned money, are agitating. The commercial street station police succeeded in taking into custody seven directors of I Monetary Advisory (IMA) on Wednesday June 12. Reportedly, directors of the company, Nizamuddin Khan, Nassir Hussain, Naveed Ahmed, Arshad Khan, Anwar Pasha, Wasim and Dadapeer were arrested. The arrested accused were remanded by the court to ten days police custody to help police in further probe.

But the brain behind the scam, Mansoor Khan, has disappeared into thin air. The police have been trying their best to arrest him. There are rumours that he has fled to a foreign country. When arresting the directors, the police took into possession Range Rover and Jaguar car which company chief, Mohammed Mansoor Khan, was using.

It is said that most of the people involved with this scam are not well-educated but they were skilled enough to indulge in a huge scam without the knowledge of the investors. During the last two days, 20,000 investors have filed complaints. Still, there is a long line of complainants.

The government has appointed deputy inspector general of police, B R Ravikanthe Gowda, as the head of the special investigation team (SIT) formed to investigate this scam. Former minister Roshan Baig, whose named was allegedly mentioned by Mansoor Khan in an audio, has already demanded to hand over investigation of the case to Central Bureau of Investigation.

Leader of Opposition of Karnataka Legislative Council Kota Srinivas Poojary, said that the state government will crash if Mansoor Khan reveals names of all the ministers involved with this scam.

Mansoor Khan is a nice person. He did not borrow from banks. He has realised the ground reality of those investors, that this money may get stolen by some other Khan. So he has taken that money into his custody.

Dear People, please use your common sense. If anyone is offering you more than 15% return per year you should always be suspicious and double check all details before investing. It is not practically possible to offer such returns for a long period of more than one year.
Most of the schemes like Mahrastra Apex, Ambidant, IMA promised huge returns of 20-50%. These rates are only to lure and attract gullible investors.
Firstly you have to be careful when investing your money. It is of no use to blame government now.

It's the greed of 36% interest per annum . Banks offer 6-7% interest, and this thief offered 36% interest per annum! This type of incidents happened in past too, but we do not learn lesson from past mistakes.
