Very sad and tragic.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.May her soul rest in peace. There are certain things which should be noted to the functions of a fridge.Refrigater should nt be kept very close to wall.It should have enough place for air circulation.second where fridge is kept should have enough air circulation ,thatswhy both door and windows shouldnt be held closed all the time.warm air has to go out.Fridge should be kept from time to set out for some time so that to clean and compressor can be cooled down.when the fridge is not in use for example you are in holidays ,dont put completely out ,but keep it at low temperature .Long time fridge shouldnt be set off. From time to time checking should be done.very old fridge must be discarded however good it works.because it requires more electricity than new one.

RIP Farzana. Condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones. There could be several reasons for the refrigerator cylinder ( compressor) to blast.

Because the compressor may be very old

The reason fridge explosions happen is usually due to the fridge's compressor. The compressor, located at the back of most fridges, contains a motor and pump which push a gas refrigerant through the compressor's coils. When that gas cools down and turns into a liquid, it soaks up heat in the fridge and cools the items inside.

But sometimes, the back of a fridge can get hot as the refrigerant moves through the compressor, causing the coils to contract, which traps the gas. This makes the gas unable to properly vent and it can burst through the compressor's coils, creating an explosion.
