ICYM Kinnigoli deanery hands over financial aid to cancer patients

Mangaluru, May 25: The office bearers of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Kinnigoli deanery handed over the financial help to cancer patients which they collected by organizing the musical nite, at Kinnigoli Church Grounds on Saturday, April 27.

The musical nite was led by Lawrence D Souza, a well known singer, on the occasion of silver jubilee of Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Kinnigoli deanery. Contributing to the cause on behalf of ‘Sangeeth Sangam-2’, Lawrence D’Souza also had given a cheque of Rs one lac to the office bearers of ICYM.

Fr Rahul, director, ICYM, Kinnigoli deanery and office bearers of the movement visited the cancer patients and handed over the funds to them for their medical expenses.

Fr Rahul after distributing the financial aid said “After the event, within a week, we handed over financial assistance to the patients, Lavina Mathias , Pakshikere, Geetha Prabha Cornelio, Ullal, Anson G D Souza, Kulur, Prerna Milan Pinto , Kulshekar and Lucy D Souza, Kulshekar. It was our dream project and we completed it very successfully. I thank to all donors, sponsors and supporters for our event. My special thanks to Lawrence D Souza, singer who led the musical nite. He himself contributed a big amount for our project. My special thanks to all ICYM office bearers and members of Kinnigoli deanery. Day and night they worked together and collected funds from various sources. They were the key persons of this project.”
