High alert in Mysuru Palace after hoax bomb scare

Mysuru, May 14:  Security was increased at Mysuru Palace and surrounding areas after a hoax bomb call was received earlier.  

Following the call regarding the bomb, all the places nearby and the palace were searched. Even after learning that the call was hoax, police did not want to take any chances. They beefed up security in the area.

 

Though visitors are allowed to the famous palace, they are being frisked and additional security arrangements have been made.

    Every time there is a security-related call from anyone, the security agencies (including police) put in considerable effort to identify/mitigate the threat.

    If this call turns out to be a hoax, all that effort by the security agencies goes in vain.

    Effort eqates to a significant cost. There would be material cost as well.

    I hope the Government recovers the cost from such hoax callers.

    Yes. I too was thinking in this line. Whatever loss government incurs should recover from the coax caller by confiscating his belongings..
