Mangaluru: Rego Events invites sponsors for charity pageant

Media Release

Mangaluru, Apr 26: After the successful completion of Season 1, ‘Envigreen Miss & Mrs Mangaluru 2018’, Rego Events Private Limited is proud to announce Season 2 charity pageant which will be conducted in July.

'Miss & Mrs Mangaluru' is a unique charity linked pageant whereby the contestants are involved in social cause activities. The organisers are on the look out for sponsors to fund their charity pageant in order to support their noble cause and have come out with a new concept 'Barter with Smile 2019'. In this concept, product/services/venue or vouchers are exchanged with barter sponsorship amount. Multiple advertising opportunities are attached in the Barter poster.

The overall agenda for 2019 will include charity pageant as well as charity events in various NGOs, summer camps in Valpadi - Anegudde School, home repair projects in Valpadi (Moodbidri) as well as nearby villages. Publicity for audition - April to grand finale - July will begin. The logo will be part of the campaign and charity events that will be conducted till December. To help make this event truly special for society, local and foreign businesses and organizations are called by the organisers to help highlight the social cause awareness in the city. Support for the contestants is sought in order to spread smiles on the faces of the poor and needy children/families.

About the organiser

Joyce Rego, Mrs India Dubai 2017 title winner and mother of two kids is a government employee working with H H Private office for the past ten years. She has been residing in the UAE for the past 13 years and was chosen as one of the finalists from Dubai – UAE to compete with 48 contestants from different states of India. She bagged the title of Mrs India Dubai 2017 and began work on the charity project since then. In August 2018, Rego Events Private Limited and Rejoyce Mustard Garden Trust were registered in Mangaluru to work for the betterment of society.

My vision

As part of 2018 project, the entire finalist and Season 1 team travelled to Valpadi (Moodbidri) and identified around 30 families who live in poverty and around 110 poor students studying in a nearby school. With an aim to bring smiles on their faces and help them to improve their lifestyle, the organization chose valpadi as its first project and is still working for them. Academic subject boards were provided by Season 1 contestant as her first charity project to Anegudde School in Valpadi. Season 2 contestants will also be part of the same Valpadi project since change/improvement takes time. Summer camp for 110 children in valpadi is the next project in May 2019 (poster attached).

Rego Events Private Limited is the first event organizer in Mangaluru that introduced one-of-its-kind charity pageant and partnered with Ketto crowd funding concept to support under privileged families, under-developed villages and various NGO’s in Mangaluru. The event platform is providing an opportunity for the business startup personnel/fashion designers or entertainment sector to showcase their product, talent, ideas or design for free. However, the contestants who have talents but lack resources can also be part of the event for free. The funds collected from the event sponsorship will be donated to Mustard Garden to create social awareness and initiate more charity projects within the city.

Rejoyce Mustard Garden Trust is an NGO that is not limited to one type of charity in general as they are willing to serve everyone who needs help as well as involve anyone who wants to help. The NGO will also support every contestant who wants to participate in the pageant with an intention to work on their social cause by providing necessary material/resources to start their dream project. The Mustard members, especially the contestants will connect the people with the charities that they care about in the most convenient, reliable and a secure manner as possible. They aim to provide quality education to children in the village schools that have no means of smart education as compared to other private schools in the city. They also provide basic support to those children and their families from such villages where they still live in an environment without electricity and proper shelter.
