Byndoor: Sexual exploitation of boy - gram panchayat member held

Byndoor, Apr 18: Ramesh Ganiga (38), a member of Kergal gram panchayat here stands arrested. He has been accused of sexually harassing a young boy.

It is said that Ganiga had led the boy into an under-construction building and had used him for satiating his hunger for sex. The boy somehow escaped from there, and informed his family members. Thereafter, the parents of the boy along with the locals handed over the accused to the police.

Some locals have claimed that the said gram panchayat member had troubled some other boys also in a similar fashion in the past. A case against Ganiga has been registered at the police station here and investigation has been undertaken.
