Moodbidri: Alva’s PU College achieves 98.21 results in PUC

Moodbidri, Apr 16: Alva’s PU College secured 98.21 results in the examinations held this year. As many as 4,961 students passed out of 5,051 students appeared for the examination. Commerce student Olvita D’ Souza secured first rank in the state with 596 marks. Alva’s Education Foundation president Dr M Mohan Alva explained the achievements of students in press conference.

Among commerce students Akash M Nayari has secured 593 marks, Vishnu Hegde 592 marks, Sudeepti P 591 marks, Pallavi H R 586 marks, Anusha P L 588 marks, Guruprasad Hegde 589 marks and Subrahmanya B M has secured 588 marks.

Science students Deepika H S, Darshan S Samarth and Shruthi P S have secured 590 marks each, Nandini S H 589, Sinchana Udupa, Sneha K Shetty, Sonia P, Arun K M and Nivedita Raghunath have secured 588 each.

Out of 4,127 students of science to appear for the examination, 4,050 have passed recording a pass percentage of 98.16%. Out of 886 commerce students, 873 students have passed with a pass percentage of 98.53%. All the 38 arts students who appeared have passed.

As many as 18 students secured more than 89% marks, 50 students have more than 97%, 150 students have more than 96%, 346 students have more than 90%, 1304 students have secured more than 85% and 2,184 students have passed.

Visually challenged arts student Nagaraja Suthar made amazing achievement by securing 548 marks.
