Probe 'mysterious box' unloaded from PM's chopper in Chitradurga: Congress

Bengaluru/New Delhi, April 14 (IANS): The Congress on Sunday demanded an immediate investigation by the Election Commission (EC) into a mysterious box, which was allegedly unloaded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's chopper after it landed in Chitradurga in Karnataka earlier this week.

The Karnataka Congress on Saturday tweeted a 14-second video clip, claiming that it was filmed soon after Modi landed in Chitradurga on Tuesday to address an election rally. The video shows two men carrying a black box to a private Innova parked at a helipad, allegedly immediately after Modi's chopper had landed there.

During a press conference on Sunday, former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said: "In Chitradurga, we got to see something very unusual, something not seen before. The Prime Minister was in an Air Force helicopter, and a big, black box was unloaded from his helicopter.

"We received this information today and will also show you the video. The box was loaded onto a private vehicle which was not a part of the SPG (Special Protection Group) carcade and it sped away."

Sharma pointed out that whenever the Prime Minister or other Cabinet Ministers travel to various locations for election campaign, EC officials check their vehicles.

"This rule is applicable on the Prime Minister too. There should an investigation, as nothing is out of the purview of the SPG, which accompanies the Prime Minister everywhere. But an exception was made in the case of this box. Where was the box transported," Sharma asked.

The Congress demanded that the poll panel should investigate the contents of the box. Sharma said: "It is not just in favour of the people of India, but also the Prime Minister in order to uphold the dignity of the post."

He said that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) leaders have registered a complaint with the EC in this matter.

The earlier similar incident surfaced when Rs 1.80 Cr Cash Recovered From Arunachal CM’s Convoy meant to bribe voters at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pasighat which was seized from a government vehicle, was claimed by Christopher Perme, son of Mebo BJP candidate Dangi Perme, Rs 80 lakh was found inside the private vehicle of Ralomg Borang, a former MLA. Arunachal Pradesh’s chief electoral officer, Kaling Tayeng has confirmed to the media that cash amounting to Rs 1.80 crore was indeed recovered from some vehicles.

There are IT raids Lord Shiva Temple where Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has visits in his village, just went back empty hand. ECI Officials enthusiastically checked CM Kumaraswamy's car multiple times in a day.
Now a mysterious black box was unloaded from PM Modi’s helicopter at Chitradurga yesterday and loaded into a private Innova which quickly sped away.

But as usual ITDepartment of Modi & ElectionCommission O fBJP is quiet on it?
But why isn't Election Commission concerned about the Mysterious box that was shipped from PM's helicopter?
Aren't ECI guidelines applicable to PM Narendra Modi?

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has also endorsed PM Modi in NAMO again campaign. If this black box is a larger conspiracy to create a communal disturbance or explosives were BJP is facing a direct fight from the coalition?

The VVIP's carry all the contraband in their vehicle/helicopters/aircraft since they are immune from checking. This must be such a box (or proverbial suitcase). I do not think the investigation would reveal anything since it is too late. Even if there was some cash existed in the box that would have vanished immediately.

Could be black box meant to tamper with the EVM's in constituencies where Modi has vivited so that a Halo can be created about Modi and his winnability in areas where he has addressed election speeches.

Hope the EC will conduct a through probe and inform the people of Karnataka before 17th.

Whats the harm if its taken publicly ? By now everybody know that the PM is not a Parrot, he is reading it from the teleprompter. Why hide it ?

Has it happened in Chitradurga only, or is it happening at every venue he goes ??
