Bantwal, Apr 7: In an inhuman incident reported from a village in the taluk, it has come to light that a man repeatedly raped his own minor daughter since the last some weeks.

The man who committed this heinous act has been identified as Dawood (42). Dawood has four wives. Still, to satiate his hunger for sex, he made use of his minor daughter.

The incident came to light when the police were investigating another case. The victim in question had also been raped by her sister's husband. Her mother had filed complaint in the town police station here relating to this incident. The police registered the case and took the accused brother-in-law of the girl into custody. During his questioning, the accused confessed to having committed this act. At the same time, he revealed to the police that the victim's own father had also raped her several times.

After this barbaric incident came into the open, the case was handled from another angle too. The Child Helpline which took up the case questioned the affected girl. She too agreed that what her brother-in-law had said was true.

Case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered in the town police station here against the victim's brother-in-law and father. Investigation is on.
