Mandya: Stay away from politics, else will teach you lesson, warns JD (S) MLA to Sandalwood actors

Daijiworld Media Network – Mandya (MS)

Mandya, Mar 20: “Sit at home. Do not involve in politics of the district. If not, we will conduct investigation about the assets you are holding,” warned JD (S) MLA Narayanagowda to the Sandalwood actors Yash and Darshan indirectly, who are campaigning for Sumalata Ambareesh, who is contesting against the JD (S) candidate and son of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Narayanagowda was speaking at the JD (S) conference that was held at K R Pete in the district on Wednesday, March 20. He further said, “We have immense respect towards late Ambareesh. We will respect him in the future also. However, I am not happy with the other Sandalwood actors. Many actors are creating confusion in this constituency. If they continue to create chaos and confusion, it is not good for them. Let them speak about the Cinema field. But if they speak about the Devegowda family, it is not good for them.

“If you stay at home, we respect you. If you speak about the Devegowda family, we will teach a fitting lesson. Government of Karnataka is ours. If you keep quiet it is better for you. If not we will conduct inquiry about the assets you are holding. You stick to the shooting of the movies and live a respectful life. You do not have the right to speak about politics. You have not seen the country of India. You do not have the moral right to speak about politics,” added a fuming MLA Narayangowda taunting indirectly at Sandalwood actors Yash and Darshan.

MLA seeks apology

Realizing his mistake after some time of giving the threatening speech, MLA Narayanagowda apologetically said, “We have not called start actors for campaigning. It is not right for the Sandalwood stars to criticize the people of Mandya, who are my people. They have never come to the district during the Cauvery protest or farmers’ protest. It is not right for them to come to Mandya now. Darshan does not have any right to speak about the people of Mandya.

“Darshan has been questioned about this election by some people. He has spoken very rudely and in an abusive manner about the people of Mandya and JD (S) party. So I have spoken harshly against him. In a fit of rage, I said that I will conduct an inquiry of his assets. I ask pardon for the same. What is the contribution of these Sandalwood actors to the people of Mandya? They did not partake in the protest of farmers.”
