Mangaluru, Mar 20: Managing director of Karnataka Bank Mahabaleshwar M S inaugurated the 839th branch of Karnataka Bank here at Kateel on Wednesday March 20. 

Addressing the gathering, Mahabaleshwar M S said, “Today we have inaugurated the 839th branch of Karnataka Bank here. Many say that banks suffer in rural areas, but that is not true. 

"Since establishment in 1924, our bank has not been in loss so far. We develop good relation with our customers. We try and make sure that facilities reach to the door steps of our customers,” he said. 

Priest of Kateel temple Vasudev Asranna said, "Karnataka Bank is one of the highly reputed banks. Let Kateel Durgaparameshwari bless all the employees of Karnataka Bank and make the bank successful.” 

Priest of Kateel temple Laxmi Narayana Asranna said, "It is a great occasion that Karnataka Bank has opened in Kateel. The bank has dedicated a branch for the overall development of Kateel. Karnataka Bank is the only bank to encourage religious programmes.” 

Assistant general manager Ramesh Bhat welcomed the gathering and branch manager Mithun rendered the vote of thanks. 

Priests of Kateel temple Venkataramana Asranna, K S Ananthapadmanabha Asranna, Kamaladevi Prasada Asranna, Harinarayana Asranna, Dr Suresh Sanjeev Rao and others were present.
