Mangaluru, Mar 16: The Congress on Saturday March 16 released a handbook on the alleged Rafale scam targeting the BJP-led NDA government.

Congress senior leader V R Sudarshan released the handbook at the district Congress office here.

Addressing media persons regarding candidates list ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Sudarshan said, "The Modi government has favoured Anil Ambani at the cost of HAL, even though HAL has more expertise and experience to build Rafale jets. This is a major scam of Rs 58,000 crore and the government should be held accountable to the public."

He also attacked the NDA politicians for using the Balakot surgical strike in election rallies to garner votes. "The BJP has nothing to show in terms of development and welfare, so it is taking advantage of the surgical strike,"he said.

Regarding the Congress candidate list for Karnataka, he said the party's election committee would be holding a meeting on March 19 and that a complete list of candidates of Congress-JD(S) alliance for Lok Sabha polls will be released. "There is no confusion between the two parties regarding seat share," he said.

MLC Ivan D'Souza who was also present at the press meet said, "The central government led by PM Modi is involved in the Rs 58,000-crore Rafale scam. We will distribute the copies of the handbook on Rafale scam to every household in the state. Our party is ready for an open discussion on the issue."

To a question on Janardhan Poojary's recent statement opposing his candidature for the Lok Sabha elections, Ivan brushed off the matter saying Poojary did not have enough knowledge.

Ivan D'Souza also released a list of 28 questions for the Modi government regarding the promises made during the 2014 general elections.

District Congress president Harish Kumar, former MLAs J R Lobo and Shakuntala Shetty and others were present.

CONGRESS CAN FILE SUIT IF THEY HAVE SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE.

IT SEEMS CONGRESS THINKS OF FOOLING VOTERS BY THIS WAY.

BUT VOTER IS SMART ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON.

IT IS SHAME ON CONGRESS TO SUPPORT JD-S IN STATE WITH 78 MLA'S.

WHY SHOULD WE VOTE CONGRESS IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE CAPACITY.

Modi govt must go because of its criminal neglect of major public sector units. BSNL has been sacrificed at the altar of Reliance. Life Insurance Corporation has been forced to invest in companies in which ruling politicians have a stake.

Whats all this? by the Cong leaders who have never won or can win a panchayat election. Sudarshan, Ivan etc are simply trying to be in news. When veteran and senior leader the father of DK Congress Mr, Poojari has admitted that PM is non corrupt and should lead India onc e again, then thats it. With such negative gimmics you are indirectly helping BJP to garner more support. At least support JDS who is giving a good governance.

Congress is just shooting in the dark. If they have evidence why are they not.presenting it in court instead of making motherhood statements. They don't read or know facts like their incompetent leaders. Other than Modi and RaFail they have nothing to brag about...

    Hello Jossey Sir,
You said Intelligent people of Karnataka vote for Honest Leader's? It Didn't happen in Udupi . The scenario was very different to what I Expected. The Ex-MLA made 90% development in UDUPI compared to now . And the party has made the judgement that there werent many developments . The Ex MLA gave support to youths during his tenure, There was also development in Toursim where there is high flow of people now . But Unfortunately people were blind they didn't vote for him . What do you say now ? People don't want Development in their vicinity/Village/District.
I hope people vote for development. This small thing can change India .
Please Vote!! But vote the right person!! Jai Hind 🇮🇳

BJP will never come for any open discussion, debate or open press conference. BJP hasn't held so far, nor it is holding nor it will hold in future. So this the level of transparency of BJP govt. BJP leaders will definitely condemn this in thier open public fake bhashans and throw as much as muck and criticise in thier one way monologue with action, fancy dress costume and poetic lyrics.
