Kasargod: Murder of two youth Congress men - FIR filed against CPM workers

Kasargod, Feb 18: An FIR is registered againt the CPM workers accusing them of murdering the two Congress youths on Sunday in the city because of political rivalry. It is mentioned that local CPM leaders are involved in the murders as they had old enmity with the deceased.

The police have got the information that both Sarath Lal and Kripesh had threats on their life from local CPM leaders.

The investigation is centralized on the CPM leaders.



A lethal weapon, two mobiles and a pair of chappals are recovered from the spot of the murder. Forensic experts and dog squad personnel have collected vital clues from the area of the murder. It is said that the police have clear information with regards to the identity of the killers.

Senior police officers including Balaram Kumar Upadhyaya, IG, Kannur zone and Dr A Srinivas, SP of the district have visited the spot and assessed the security situation.

The bodies of both Kripesh and Sarath Lal are being brought to the city after completing the post mortem examination at Periyaram medical college. They will be kept for public viewing at five different places. The funeral is expected to take place at around 5 pm on Monday, February 18.

Political leaders including Mulapalli Ramachandran, KPCC president and Ramesh Chennitala, opposition leader have already reached the city.

    What a joke!! Some bali pashus while the actual behind the scenes leaders escape.
    The commies even have audacity to go house to house to collect donations for lawyers fees for the murder accused. If you dont comply, you are next in line.

    People who use to give sermons when BJP workers got murdered, switched on to Manmohan mode.

    CPM and Congress are fighting against each other in Kerala, West Bengal, Tripura etc. , but want to be in Ghatiya Bhandhan in Delhi ! Hahaha. Just imagine how real grass root workers of congress would feel? Idiot Pappu destroying Congress and insulting Congi Workers
