Kota double murder case: BJP suspends Zilla panchayat member from party

Udupi, Feb 15: Raghavendra Kanchan, one of the accused in Kota double murder case has been suspended from the party, said Udupi BJP president Mattaru Rathnakar Hegde.

In a press release here on Friday, February 15, Hegde said that since Kanchan has been named in the murder case, the BJP has decided to suspend him.

It may be recalled that a gang had killed Bharath Kumar and Yatish relating a dispute over digging of the leech pit at Chikkanakere, Manuru, Kota, on January 26.

In connection with these murders, Zilla panchayat BJP member, Raghavendra Kanchan, rowdy sheeter, Rajashekhar Reddy, Medical Ravi, Harish Reddy, Mahesh Ganiga, Ravichandra Poojary, Pavan Ameen and Veerendra Acharya already stand arrested.
