Kundapur, Feb 10: Dileep Raj (48), who was a native of Nagoor near Byndoor, who was well known for his creativity in making motor bikes, cars etc to suit different films including Kannada and other languages since the last many years, breathed his last on Friday February 8 evening at his residence at Bengaluru due to cardiac arrest.

Dileep was at his home when he suffered from arrest. Although the family members rushed him to Jayadeva Hospital, he did not survive the journey to the hospital.

Dileep had close association with a number of heroes in Kannada filmdom. His unique creations of vehicles for films like Kirik Party, Rajaratha, Anna Bond and Uppi-2 had become very popular because of their creative designs. He was adept at creating vehicles for use in different films.

Dileep Raj was active in activities associated with Somakshatriya Ganiga community. At a programme of recognising talented members organized by this community recently, he had taken active part in cultural and sports activities. His sudden departure has created a huge void in his family and the community members. His fans are shell-shocked at his demise at a very young age.

Dileep has left behind his parents, wife, two children, and scores of fans and relatives. His family and the movie industry are grieving his unexpected end.

His funeral was performed at Nagoor, his native place, on Saturday.
