Madikeri: Police raid rave party - arrest young men, homestay owner

Madikeri, Jan 14: Kodagu district police raided a homestay facility in the district and succeeded in arresting people indulging in rave party organized there.

The police have arrested Jude Pereira and Shankar Shantanu from Maharashtra, Sairam and Ishwar from Bengaluru, and homestay owner, Maleyanda Appanna. The homestay where the rave party was in progress when the police raided, Balaji A1 home stay, is located at Napoklu in Madikeri taluk here.

During the raid, the police recovered 205.15 grams of ganja leaves, 29 grams of charas, hookah equipment etc. They also confiscated Rs 1, 75,500 cash that reportedly was accumulated by selling drugs.

A total of five accused were arrested in this successful operation.

    I find something is fishy here. There are about 1000 homestays in Madikeri. How did the police come to know about the drugs in this particular homestay?. May be the homestay owner or care taker and police are involved in this. The loot by the police will be shared eventually.

    Actually people doesn't know what rave party is, it's all about music , only music lovers will be there , hashish , ganja is a good substance that will keep peace , it's legal in so many country, ganja and Charas is illegal because if govt legalized and there won't be tax given...,mahn u cannot blame ravers unless u rave and have the experience of different dimensions.. trust me if u trip well your brain will be extra opened .. boooom,

    Out of the five, one belongs to a different community.

    Get Pink Chaddy man take responsibility to this because in Padil he had attacked the birthday party event saying its against Hindu customs/culture. A group, whom the police let go due to lack of evidence. Here in Madikeri you have sufficient evidence about existing narcotics.

Our's decent culture adopting all over around the world. We not allow our youngsters spoil by looking other people..!! Where is moral police..??

    Do have ever found any obstacle in celebrating Christmas or new year in this country ....
    And of course right wing people are not at all human pillars of our religion, they are in very few no. and majority of my religion people do not support them .... just look around your neighborhood and judge yourself ....
    An incident happened some time back by some miscreants is not general criterion for the whole people of that religion, we are par tolerant when compared to others in the whole universe .....

    I am so pleased with your comment sir. 50 years in my birth place and surrounded by majority / minority religious people never ever any incident till date. In fact they love it as any other festival with cribs the stars the trees with mesmerized lights they love it more than US.

    Same type of party was going on in ". Mnglr home stay" that time ppl like you blamed some orgamization for attack just because they belonged to a particular religion. In DW all comme ts depends upon the religion of the ppl involved in the crime
