Mangaluru: Filmmaker Aroona Bhat inaugurates 'Semesta' inter-collegiate fest at St Agnes

Mangaluru, Jan 10: TEDX speaker, image consultant and film producer Aroona Bhat inaugurated 'Semesta 2019', a national level inter-collegiate fest at St Agnes college in the city on Thursday, January 10.

Addressing the gathering, Aroona Bhat said, "It was a great welcome from the Agnesians. It has been a pride to be part of this programme and address the students of St Agnes. I had studied at St Agnes since from three-years of age till completion of my graduation, where I blossomed with dreams and stars in my eyes. This great institution allowed me to dream big and encouraged me right from the beginning, which channelized me to achieve something in my life,"



"The institution allows you to think beyond academics. Extra-curricular activities make you whole and complete. I want to tell students to enjoy each moment of your life in your college which you will never get back in your life." added Aroona Bhat.

Principal of St Agnes College Dr Jeswina said, "Every student has come to take part in this inter-collegiate fest and take home the trophy. Competitions groom you to become a good human being. It teaches you to respect others, build leadership qualities and co-operation and also to accept the failure and victory equally. Participate actively by giving joy to others and this fest will a make a positive difference in your life."

Aroona Bhat unveiled the champions trophy for Semesta 2019.

President of Student council Ladleen Monteiro was present.

Staff coordinator Dr Nancy H Vaz welcomed the gathering. Assistant professor, department of BBA, Chethana K M rendered the vote of thanks.

Nerissa Noronha and Aurelia Saldanha compered the event.
