Mangaluru: St Agnes Degree College holds annual sports day

Mangaluru, Dec 14: St Agnes Degree College (Autonomous) organized annual sports day on December 12.

Ekalavya Awardee Akshatha Poojary was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. Superior and joint secretary of the institutions Sr Dr Maria Roopa, principal Sr Dr M Jeswina, vice-principal Sr Dr Venissa, PTA vice-president Blosom Rego; PG co-ordinator Dr Noeline J Pinto; physical education directress, Vasudha S; PTA members and all the staff and students graced the occasion.

As many as 34 teams marched to the tune of the band. The theme of the UNO, theme environment was showcased through creative props as they marched holding colorful placards by the team leaders.Track and field events were conducted for the UG and PG students. Tug-of-War for students and staff of UG and PG was also conducted.



Dr Geralyn Pinto, associate professor and HOD, department of English, PG Studies, St Agnes College, was the chief guest for the valedictory programme. All the winners and runners of various events were honoured with certificates and prizes. Vasudha S rendered the vote of thanks.
