Karkala, Nov 22: District-in-charge minister Dr Jayamala inaugurated Indira Canteen here at Bandimath bus stand on Wednesday, November 22.

Addressing the gathering, Jayamala said, "The state government has implemented Indira Canteen scheme under Anna Bhagya project to create hunger free state. The scheme has helped over more than one lakh people. In Udupi we are opening 4 such canteens and one each in Kundapura and Karkala."

MLA V Sunil Kumar speaking on the occasion wished success to the project.

DC Priyanka Mary Francis, Kundapura assistant commissioner Bubalan, officials Aruna Prabha, Mebal Dsouza, Madan and others were present.
