Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 19: As preparation for the annual parish feast of Kinnigoli Church, the Confraternity Sunday (Compricho Aithar) was observed on November 18, 2018 with gaiety and devotion.

The parishoners got together in huge numbers on this blessed day. The Eucharistic celebration began at 4 pm. Fr Victor Machado, the main celebrant, offered the mass along with Fr Matthew Vas, Fr Rupesh Tauro and Fr Sunil Praveen Pinto. In his homily Fr Victor Machado insisted the importance of Family and said that the Eucharist binds us together in family and at large at the Parish community as one body.

After the mass the Holy Eucharist adorned in a golden coloured tabernacle and mounted on a decorated vehicle was taken in procession through the main road with the faithful following the procession. The Joy Star band played devotional hymns and the choir and the faithful added sweet voice to the melody.

After the procession the parishioners assembled to participate in the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The church vicinity looked luminous with both the lightings and cheerfulness of the parishioners.
