Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (DC)

Mangaluru, Nov 9: Parents of an engineering student from the city have alleged role of former police officer turned politician Madan in the missing case of their son.

Shiva Kumar, an auto rickshaw driver from Shakthinagar and Sakamma in a complaint with Urwa police station alleged that their son Vinayak was pursuing engineering at a college in a city. Vinayak had stopped going to college in his second year and joined then Bajpe police sub-inspector Madan after the latter quit the service and plunged into politics.

Vinayak

Madan had contested from Mangaluru South constituency in the last assembly elections. Vinayak got in touch with Madan during elections and started staying at his house. Even after elections, Vinayak continued to stay with Madan, allege his parents.

Parents of Vinayak had asked Madan to send their son back to which Madan convinced them that their son will return after getting a good job. Now parents allege that Vinayak has stopped talking to them over phone since October 8. When they phoned Madan on October 15, Madan told them that their son had left his house on October 8. Now the parents have lodged a complaint at Urwa police station alleging Madan's role in the missing case of their son.

Vinayak's phone was recovered from a flat belonging to relatives of Madan where they both were staying. The parents also allege that Madan's phone is switched off and also that he is not co-operating with the police.

    It is very surprising, no leader/organisation is 'bothered' when this kind of tragic incidents are reported. All organisations are interested in cow attack, pub attack, taxi v/s taxi attack, belittling KN / Karnataka Govt...etc etc. ...mysterious deaths of local girls called as suicides / missing local children gets no attention....local MLA in Kasaragod to foment religious issues on the pretext of Shabarimalai instigating locals not to honour SC decision...

    @Bolla,

    Please don't tarnish the image of anyone and respect the dignity of a person. Sharing a room with another man will not make anyone homo. It is very common when you go abroad in search of a job and you alone cannot afford to rent an individual / independent apartment.
    I don't know how you feel comfortable when alleging someone without any base. Do you enjoy that?

    My frend , Mr Bollu is absolutely right in his comments.You are talking something different here.Nobody said if 2 men stay together in a room , its homosexuality.In Middle east countries different people stay together in a room out of necessity.Here its very different where a college student who quit his studies and is staying with a politician.Whats the need for that ? Im not accusing the person but also cannot overlook that angle.Police has to investigate thoroughly.

    @Abdul Jabbar,
    When you have no knowledge of what exactly is the real matter, why do you jump to a conclusion to tarnish the dignity of a person? When you don't know anything about a person, just expect good for/ from him.
