JD(S)-Cong show of strength desperate bid to save Gowda and Gandhi family, says BJP

Bengaluru, Oct 21: The Congress-JD(S) show of strength in Karnataka has been termed by the BJP as a desperate attempt to save the existence of HD Deve Gowda family of JD(S) and Gandhi family of Congress, which have lost confidence to face the BJP.

“Fact of the matter is these two family run political parties have come together to save the existence of one family here in Karnataka and another family back in Delhi. A desperate attempt to save their existence will be wiped out by voters of Karnataka (sic),” BJP Karnataka tweeted on Saturday.

Taking a dig on Devegowda’s and Siddaramaiah’s statement in a recent joint press conference, on their common aim is to defeat the communal forces, the BJP hit back questioning who is actually communal. “Deve Gowda family & Congress says they have come together to defeat communal forces. Reality is @DKShivakumar had couple of days back openly admitted that his Congress govt was hell bent on dividing Hindu society, so ideally it’s Congress that’s communal & they have accepted it (sic),” BJP tweeted.

“Congress has lost confidence to face us, in many constituencies they had to import candidates belonging to other constituencies & on the other side the family run party doesn’t even have its existence beyond 3 dists. With little choice left they had to join hands to face us,” BJP ridiculed the coalition on Twitter.
