Kundapur: Thieves take away donation box of Mudoor Brahmalingeshwara temple

Kundapur, Oct 21: Thieves succeeded in entering Lord Brahmalingeshwara temple at Mudoor in Byndoor taluk and taking away a donation box from inside. The theft amount has been estimated to be around Rs 50,000.

The thieves entered the temple on Friday October 19 by breaking open the lock of the main door of the temple. The theft came to light when the priest came to open the temple door on Saturday morning.

Sniffer dog which was pressed into service led the people till Tapsegudde hillock nearby where some coins were found scattered. Finger print experts and Kollur police sub-inspector, Shivakumar, visited the spot and guided investigation. A case was registered in Kollur police station.
