Bantwal, Jun 14: The feast of St Anthony was celebrated at St Anthony’s Church Allipade on Wednesday, June 13 in the presence of many faithful.

Fr Gregory Pereira, former parish priest of the church was the main celebrant of the Holy Mass. Fr J B Moras, parish priest of Narampady church, preached the homily. Priests from Bantwal deanery as well as from outside parishes took part in the Eucharistic celebration.

Fr Gregory Pereira said, “We are here to thank God for all the favours we have received from St Anthony. He has blessed us abundantly over the past 80 years. We cannot count the blessings as they are numerous.”

During the homily, Fr J B Moras narrated and stressed the aspect of faith in life.

People in large number participated in the Holy Mass followed by a procession. Meals were served to all the devotees.

Parish priest Fr Frederick Monteiro, vice-president Leo Fernandes, secretary Madthini Sequeira, parish pastoral council members, ward leaders and parishioners were present.
