Udupi, Jan 13: Well-known builders in the region, Mandavi Builders, inaugurated their new project ‘Mandavi Square’ on DC office road, Vidyaratnanagar in Manipal on Friday, January 12. Hotel Sarah International also was inaugurated on the occasion.
Fr Godfrey Saldanha, parish priest, St Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga prayed and blessed Hotel Sarah International and Mandavi Square building premises.
In his address, Fr Godfrey Saldanha said, “The word 'Sarah' means beautiful princess, Abraham's wife, who was considered the matriarch of the Jewish people. Let the customers receive royal hospitality, good food and homely services here. India is known for having best hotels in Asia. There are immense opportunities in hotel business like hotel management executive, chefs, marketing and many more. ‘Mandavi Square’ adds to the list of many hotels all over the world in China, Russia, Argentina, Mexico, London and others. Manipal has good reputation. Let this place grow in leaps and bounds.”
Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor math inaugurated Hotel Sarah International by lighting the lamp.
In his inaugural address Swamiji said, “I have seen the growth of Mandavi Builders from the beginning. Earlier, Mandavi Builders was into construction industry. Now they have entered the hotel industry. Hotel Sarah International is the best place for tourists here. It gives an amazing experience. People will love this place for its good and qualitative service along with other facilities.”
District in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj said, “Mandavi Builders have always been popular here. Twenty-five years after venturing into construction business, Dr Jerry Vincent Dias, proprietor of Mandavi Builders, has now entered the hotel industry. This shows the dedication, sincerity and courage of Jerry and sons. They have God's grace on them to achieve their dream project.
“Udupi tops in the state in maintaining law and order. It is possible due to the cordial support of all political parties. Udupi and Manipal are developing cities and good place for tourists. MLC and chief whip of Karnataka Legislative Assembly Ivan D'Souza said, “Dr Jerry’s new venture will be a success as he is known for his friendly communication with his customers. He has inspired many people with his hard work. There was nothing in Manipal in the earlier years. Mandavi Builders have changed the landscape of the city. Udupi and Manipal are recognized on a global level.”
