Mumbai: 4th successful Konkani drama ‘Limbe Ani Mirsang’ presented

Mumbai, Dec 27: Konkan Sobhan ‘Konkani Artists Group’ presented their 4th show of ‘Limbe Ani Mirsang’ successfully, at Navin Bhai Thakkar Hall, Vile Parle East, on December 17.

Chief guest Vincent Mathias, managing director, Vel-Vin Packaging Pvt Ltd, and founder president of CCCI was felicitated with a flower bouquet by Juliet D’Souza Jerimeri. Subsequently, other honoured guests were called on to the dais and felicitated. Gabrial Mendonca, MD, Gabrial Electricals Pvt Ltd, Richard Mendonca, Richard Electrical Works, Walter D'Souza, Ashwini Cable, Henry Lobo, CCCI, Pius Vas, advocate, Jerry Lewis, Gloria Mark Electrics Pvt Ltd, Stany Fernandes, S A Packaging, Ozy Cordeiro, Shepard Shipping, Harry Fernandes, film director, Lawrence Coelho, editor, Divo, and John R Mascarenhas, writer and director of ‘Limbe Ani Mirsang’ were on the dias.

Konkan Sobhan is a group of artists work for the development of Konkani talents of young and old, including children. The group is training children for various Konkani activities. Recently, they had trained children for ‘Poetry Recital’ to take part in ‘Kavita Trust and’ poetry contest in Mumbai, held in Jerimeri. The finalists who will take part in the forthcoming All India Poetry Recital Contest scheduled on January 14, 2018, were also felicitated with gifts and flower bouquets.

Even though it was Christmas season when almost all parishes organize various Christmas programmes, there was an overwhelming response from the crowd who enjoyed the entire play till the end. The play was enacted by 17 actors namely Gracy Tauro, Severine D’Souza and John R Mascarenhas who played the leading roles. Nevertheless, other actors also performed well according to their character. Joseph D’Souza, Elias Pinto, Leo D’Souza, Eliza Menezes, Melony Cordeiro, Juliana Mascarenhas, Victor Pereira, Michael Sequeira, John Rodrigues, Fredrick Cardoza, Sunil Fernandes, Melita, Joyson and Sheryl were the supporting actors. Joyston and Christon supported with background music, while Vincent Castelino handled lighting effects.

John Mascarenhas thanked the sponsors, guests and those who worked and cooperated for the success of the show. Veronica Noronha compered the programme.
