Mangaluru, Dec 4: District BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest here on Monday, December 4 near SP’s office, condemning the arrest of BJP MP Pratap Simha who was taken into custody by the police for defying prohibitory orders clamped in Hunsur town.

Addressing the protestors, district president of Yuva Morcha, Harish Poonja said, "Siddaramaiah led state government is against the Hindu community. They used the police department and caned the devotees of Hanuman while taking out a procession at Hunsur. We condemn the arrest of Yuva Morcha state president MP Pratap Simha. The state government is frequently trying to hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.”

“Do we not have the right to hold procession on our beliefs? Is there no limitation for the ego of the state government?” he questioned.

Police had lathi-charged to disperse the crowd after BJP members grew violent. The protesters stoned SP Ravi D Channanavar's car and damaged three KSRTC buses.

The police had banned processions in view of Eid Milad celebration in the city and Hanuman Jayanti falling on the same day.

BJP Yuva Morcha leader Sandeep Shetty, Yashpal, Sujith, Harish Moodushedde and others were present.

Most of the Indian Governments are wrong...... Why they have arrest Pratap Simha...... MP/MLA/Ministers are India's owners and they got right to take corruption, rape, kidnap, kill, etc.
They got foolish supporters to agitate against police and government whey their right to agitate when leaders are caught in wrong doing. Shame on you these agitators.
