Mangaluru: Tulu movie 'Arjun Weds Amrutha' released amid fanfare

Mangaluru, Jul 21: Much awaited Tulu romantical film 'Arjun Weds Amrutha' directed by Raghu Shetty was inaugurated by city mayor Kavitha Sanil at PVR, Forum Fiza mall on Friday, July 21.

Speaking on the occasion, the mayor said, "There is a lot of competition among films in the Tulu film industry. So I urge all film producers to have a gap of at least one month between the release of any Tulu movies, so that it gives an equal opportunity to all the films to succeed."

Director Raghu Shetty said, "This is our first production under the banner of Bedra 9 Creations from Moodabidri. I thank the producer and artistes for having faith in me and also my my well wishers for their support."


    




































Senior artists Richard Castelino, Sanjeev Dandakeri and V G Pal were felicitated for their contribution to Tulu film industry.

RJ Anurag compered the programme and welcomed the gathering.

The songs of the film have been composed by Suma L N Shastri who has become the first woman music composer of Coastalwood. Rajesh Shetty, Damodar Dhondole and Loku Kudla have written the lyrics. Sung by well known singers like Rajesh Krishnan, Hemanth, L N Shastri, Suma L N Shastri and Supriya, the songs of 'Arjun Weds Amrutha' are already a hit.

Anoop Sagar and Aradhya Shetty play the lead role. Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Umesh Mijar and Sundar Rai will be seen in prominent roles in the film.
