Mangalore: Naveen D Padil's Birse Hits Silverscreen in City

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (KM)

Mangalore, Apr 11: ‘Birse,’ Tulu movie featuring well-known Tulu stage actor ‘Kusaldarase’, hit the silver screen on Friday April 11 at Prabhath theatre here.

Naveen D Padil, who has carved a niche for himself with his memorable performances in number of Tulu plays not only in Mangalore but also in Mumbai and Middle East is playing lead role in the movie alongside Sahana Shree.  The latter is also a familiar name being the anchor of one of the leading Kannada TV channels.

Earlier addressing a press conference 'Birse' director Srinivas Kaushik said that film is a total family entertainer.  "Perhaps this is one of the roles which has made the maximum use of Naveen's astonishing acting skills and brought out the best out from him,” he added.

The director hoped that the movie would be a trend-setter in the Tulu film industry. At present the film is being screened at Udupi and Mangalore. The movie will be released in other places in the coming weeks, he added.

"We have made no compromise whatsoever when it comes to quality. Even the music of the movie has already received good appreciation.  So it is beyond any doubt that 'Birse' will be a superhit movie," he concluded.
