Kawasaki slashes price of Ninja 650 by INR 40000

Aug 11: Good news coming in the way of bike nerds and enthusiasts that the 2015 version of Kawasaki Ninja now carries an ex-showroom price of INR 4.97 lakhs which is INR 40000 less than its original sticker price of INR 5.3 lakhs.

The price slash as revealed by Kawasaki on its middle weight touring bike would be effective from the current month, and would hold good only for the 2015 edition of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 model.

The primary motive behind the price slash of the bike for Indian markets is simply to be more affordable and a lucrative proposition for passionate bikers and other bike nerds who wish to upgrade to the classic middle weight models. The announcement of the price slash was a part of their celebration of completing 120 successful years in the automobile industry.

The Ninja 650 model has a lot of similarity, in terms of stylings and look & feel, with the other super sport models of Ninja which enhances its aggressive and sporty appearance. The design of the bike is based on a twin-tube perimeter and the external is covered with high tensile steel providing it a distinctive look & feel.

Suspension parameters are taken care of by a 41 mm telescopic fork used at the front and a single offset shock absorber at the rear. However, ABS is not compatible with the Ninja 650 model, not even as an add-on. The bike is empowered by 649 cc, 4-stroke engine capable of producing 72 PS of power along with 64 Nm of torque.

The primary aim of all these offers is to increase market share in India, and enable prospective customers to experience high-performance bikes.
