Jul 16: Bookings for the recently launched Datsun redi-GO have crossed over 10,000 so far since its launch. Datsun stated that highest number of bookings came from metropolitan areas and Tier II cities. The company sold around 3,000 units of redi-GO in the first three weeks of its launch.
Arun Malhotra, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India said, "We have started deliveries of redi-GOs this month to customers across the country and are delighted by the way Datsun redi-GO is being embraced by the younger generation in the country.”
Malhotra also informed, “Datsun redi-GO is bringing a lot of new energy and freshness to the entry car segment. Its eye-catching design and best-in-class features are getting noticed as more and more customers choose to go with redi-GO".
redi-GO, the entry level hatchback of Datsun was launched a month ago on June 7th in five variants - D, A, T, T(O) and S. Powered by the same 0.8-litre engine of Renault Kwid, Datsun claims redi-GO delivers an attractive ARAI mileage of 25.17kmpl. Available across all the dealerships of Nissan and Datsun at a starting price of Rs.2.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Datsun redi-GO takes on the likes of Maruti Alto 800, Renault Kwid and Hyundai Eon.
