Mangalore: 'Nirel' Tulu movie gets rousing response in city

Mangalore, Mar 1: 'Nirel', the first international Tulu movie, produced by Shodhan Prasad Sandhya Creations, and directed by Ranjt Bajpe premiered at Cinepolis, City Center mall here on Friday, February 28 in the presence of a packed audience. The movie, which is based on a love story, was entirely shot in the UAE.
Shodhan Prasad's mother Sumathi inaugurated the ceremony.
Shodhan Prasad welcome the gathering and said that he was very happy with the success of the movie and pointed out that in Dubai, the theatres were full and many people had to return because they could not get the ticket.
San Poojary, co-producer, requested everyone to watch the movie and support them.
Ranjith Bajpe in his address said that everyone loved the movie in Dubai and he said that he has full confidence that even in Mangalore the movie would run successfully.
Lead actresses Deepthi Salian and Varuna Shetty thanked the people for their love and support for the movie.
Lead actor Anoop Sagar said the success of the movie was because of the hard work and dedication from the entire cast and crew.
The music has been directed by Abhishek S N. Singers like Akshata Rao, Abhishek, Shilpa, Pramod, Shivkumar along with Dubai-based singer and entrepreneur Harish Sherigar have lent their voices to the songs.
The packed audience enjoyed the movie and had a good time, and applauded the producer and actors for their dedication and hard work in producing one of the finest Tulu movie, that too in the Gulf.
Tulu film directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced jointly by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary, starring Anoop Sagar, Varuna Shetty, Deepthi, Sachin Padil, Deepak Paladka in the lead roles. This is the first film produced overseas and shot completely in the UAE. The film is based on the Kannada script "Nadu Naduve" by Karthik Gowda translated to Tulu by Ranjith Bajpe. Karthik Gowda also wrote the screenplay for the movie, while the dialogues are by Ranjith Bajpe. The cast for the movie was totally selected by an audition at Fortune Grand Hotel Dubai.
Abhishek SN music director, Rajneesh Amin, art director, Sachin Padil and the family members of the cast and crew of movie 'Nirel' were also present during the ceremony.
The ceremony was compered by Jaya Shetty.
