Mangalore, Dec 8: Cinépolis, the world’s 4th largest cinema chain and India's first international exhibitor, announced today, the launch of its 5 screen, 100% digital multiplex at Mangalore. The multiplex with 1,233 seats brings together Real D, the world’s best 3D technology, Hollywood standard 2k digital screens and 7.1 Dolby digital audio. After Bangalore, this is the second Cinépolis multiplex in Karnataka.

Speaking on the occasion, Milan Saini, managing director and country head, Cinépolis India, said “We are pleased to open the biggest and best cinema of Mangalore. Our patrons can look forward to enjoying a truly world class movie going experience with our state of the art cinemas which are conveniently located in the heart of the city and in the best mall of the city. “

Along with a truly international movie watching experience through audio and video, the multiplex will offer an indulging experience at our VIP Cinemas. Another added attraction at Cinépolis is ‘Coffee Tree’, an in-house coffee shop which will feature a wide range of freshly prepared gourmet food and beverages.”

    We must thank the management of Cinepolis for providing us the most important thing of the moment that is Real D, the world’s best 3D technology, Hollywood standard 2k digital screens and 7.1 Dolby digital audio to the residents of Managalore. Must be considered a sign of development or progress. What a priority!

    This is a great news for Mangaloreans . Healthy competiton between Big cinema and Cinepolis would help customers benefited. Being Cinepolis is right in the heart of city and have ideal access to the mall , I am sure the big cinema crowd will move to City Center . Having said , it would be in the interest of theatre patrons if these cinema houses lower the movie ticket rates.
    Anyway, congrats to Cinepolis .

    Thanks,the BIG CINEMAS of Big Bazaar is bit overcrowded when blockbuster hits screen.a friend of mine told me he had to book tickets 3 days advance for dark knight rises as 99% seats were full. & improper seating arrangements. i hope cinepolis will grant us unlimited entertainment.
