Mangalore, Sep 23:
The muhurat of the Kannada movie ‘Chella Pilli’, which features some of the popular actors of Tulu cinema, was held at the Shree Somanath temple, Someshwar here on Sunday September 23.
 
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel initiated the movie by lighting the auspicious lamp on the occasion. BJP leader Shreekar Prabhu, Property Infra Tech MD Rohan Monteiro, actor Vijaya Raghavendra, Saikrishna, Dr Sudharam Rai, producer Sudesh Bhandary, actress Aishwarya Nag among others were present on the occasion.

Rohan Monteiro gave the muhurat clap while Dr Sudharam Rai called 'action'. Producer Sudesh Bhandary said that the chief flavour in the movie is entertainment. Director Sai Krishna said that the movie will be shot in Chikamagalur, Mysore and Mangalore.
 
On the occasion a scene of female lead Aishwarya Nag receiving ‘prasadam’ from the temple priest at Shree Somanath temple was shot.
 
The USP of the movie is that it will feature a number of Kannada and Tulu artistes in the lead roles.
 
The movie will be produced by city-based Sudesh Bhandary under the banner of 'Shine City Productions'. Popular Sandalwood actors Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag will play the lead.
 
Popular comedians Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale, Thimmappa Kulal, Sundar Rai Mandara, Jayaram Acharya, Santhosh Shetty and Ashok Shetty are playing special roles in the movie to lend a perfect dose of humour.
 
In addition, Sandalwood comedian M S Umesh is also part of the movie. Shobaraj will play the villain along with Naveen D Padil.

    It is very nice to see Tulu comedinas in complete Kannada movie. I hope this movie will serve taste of tulu comedy to all kannada movie lovers.Congrats to the Bhandary and team for his courageous step and wish you all the best.

    Our society in India is rich today with resources and talents, and our investment thru production of movies can create new opportunities for new jobs added with windows of new creative ideas that will benefit everybody.

    India is now known as a country capable to produce more than 1000 movies each year. With more than 25 million Indians abroad, the market for Indian movies will continue to spread far and beyond the borders of India thereby creating opportunity for foreign exchange too.

    Our own Goan-Indian Dinesh D'Souza recently produced a 90 minute documentary on "2016" that is creating widespread popularity in America. Its a movie not only gaining timely momentum but also creates an awareness amongst Americans what Indians can produce as a result of their God given talents and abilities.
