Panaji: Ace Lensman Rajtilak Naik Bags Two National Photography Awards

Panaji, Dec 16: Ace photographer Rajtilak Naik has emerged winner in the National Fun Frames Photo Contest 2011 hosted recently by Better Photography magazine in association with Club Mahindra and Olympus.

The finalists were shortlisted from more than 6,000 entries from all over India, and the final was held at Kodagu Valley Resort, Coorg.

Prize-winning Entries

Rajtilak, principal photographer with The Times of India, was adjudged national winner in the photo series category 'Travelogue in Frames', for his photo series titled 'Story of a Goan beach'.

Rajtilak also bagged the top honours in the special Olympus category on the theme 'Pen your Memories', for which he was presented with an Olympus PEN E-P3 camera.

The winners in other categories were Rajiv Kumar Solanki (New Delhi), Vivek Nigam (New Delhi), Dibyendu Dey Choudahury (Kolkata), Debashish Mukherjee (West Bengal) and Arindam Dutta (Kolkata). The contest was open for all.

K Madhavan Pillai, editor, Better Photography magazine and renowned photographers like Dinesh Khanna, Diinesh Kumble, H Satish, C R Satyanarayana, Pallon Daruwala, Swapan Nayak and Vivek Victor Sequeira were present.

The contest was promoted on a large scale through television promos on CNBC TV18, CNN IBN, Awaaz, IBN 7, IBN Lokmat, magazine advertisements in Better Photography, Overdrive, T3, Chip, AV Max, Better Interiors, Entrepreneur, Burrp, Noise Factory along with banner ads across web18 sites including In.com, moneycontrol.com, ibnlive, ibnkhabar, cricketnext.com.
