Mumbai: Holy Family Parishioners Celebrate Feast of Nativity of Mary

Mumbai, Sep 26:
Holy Family parish of Chakala, Andheri (East), under the aegis of a Konkani liturgical group, celebrated the feast of Nativity of Mary recently.Fr Naveen of Sacred Heart parish, Mahakali, and Fr Adolph Maclar offered the Holy Mass in Konkani. The cultural programme and sharing of fellowship meal was held at Holy Family parish school auditorium.
 


The parish’s children showered flowers in honor of Infant Mary on the occasion. Sr Alice conducted the liturgical service.
 
Comedians Felix, Valerian, Lancy, and Alwyn enthralled the gathering.  Lancy and Clarin enthralled them with dance while Rubina, Kavita, Sharon, Alwyn, Felix, and Anil mesmerized the audience with choicest Konkani songs. Noel Gonsalves rendered the background music.
 
Fr Gerald Anthony Sequeira, Anthony D’Almeida, and Vincent D’Almeida conveyed best wishes. Lavina Serrao proposed the vote of thanks.
 
Traditional Mangalorean delicacies prepared by Almeida Caterers, was shared among the faithful.  Sugarcane was also distributed to the children.
 
Joel D’Almeida and Philomena compered the programme.
