Nativity Fest : German-Dutch Konkani Association - Frankfurt

by Kevin Coutinho

Frankfurt, Sep 13: The German-Dutch Konkani Association had come together to celebrate the Nativity of Mary on 10 Sep in Frankfurt.

It was a joyous occasion to come together as family to celebrate this feast, which was solemnized with Holy mass at 11:00 O’clock by Rev. Fr. Henry Patrao and concelebrated with other priests. Fr. Ivan Lobo gave a meaningful Homily saying, that God Choose Mother Mary as Baby Girl, so that God’s plan for us, go in its fulfillment for the salvation of the entire world through Mary the Mother of Christ. A very well comprised Choir by the UFS sisters under the guidance of Fr. Ronald found its melodious tune for the Holy Mass.

A lot of homegrown vegetables were brought for the procession of Gifts to the Altar. The entire Liturgy was prepared by Bethany sisters, giving the Faithful a taste of Monthi fest and its significance in today’s world. After the holy mass the entire congregation came together to have a fellowship meal. The day was filled with lot cultural activities, starting with the welcome dance by Sr. Dona followed by folk dance by Sr. Stephina. There were Games organized for the small Children along with tambola.
Altogether it was great day filled with lot of joy and happiness.

The entire congregation felt at home and thanked each other for this Family feast.
