New Delhi, Jul 6: Well-known veteran athlete P T Usha, iconic composer Ilaiyaraaja, philanthropist and administrator of the Dharmasthala temple Dr Veerendra Heggade and film director & screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad Garu have been nominated for Rajya Sabha.
Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi shared the information on Twitter and congratulated the nominees for their upcoming political innings.
The PM tweeted, “Shri V. Vijayendra Prasad Garu is associated with the creative world for decades. His works showcase India's glorious culture and have made a mark globally. Congratulations to him for being nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
