Kuwait, Dec 15: Buntara Sangha Kuwait held its 8th Annual General Body Meeting at Indian Public School - Salmiya on Friday December 5, 2008 from 10 am to 4 pm. The programme began with the prayers by Master Prithvi V Shetty.
President inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp along with coordinators and the management committee members. Joint secretary Supreetha V Shetty Belman welcomed the gathering and presented the annual report for the year 2008. Treasurer Chethan Prakash Adapa presented the statement of accounts for the year 2008. Outstanding member Mrs and Mr Praveen Kumar Shetty were honoured by presenting a memento for getting married without dowry while Sameeth B Shetty was awarded with scholarship for securing highest marks in SSLC. President Divin Menda thanked the previous committee members and with a warm and hearty welcome congratulated the new Managing Committee Members of the year 2009.
One of the coordinators Vivek Belman thanked the previous committee members and welcomed the unanimously-elected Managing Committee Members for the year 2009 and extended best wishes on behalf of all the members of Buntara Sangha Kuwait.
The Managing Committee Members for the year 2009 are:-
Ajekala Karunakar Shetty – President, Chandrahasa A Shetty – Vice-president, Gururaj Shetty - General Secretary, Neetu S Shetty - Joint Secretary, Vivek Kumar Shetty – Treasurer, Pandari S Shetty – PRO, M Balakrishna Shetty – Welfare officer, Arun Shama Shetty - Cultural Secretary, Manoj T Shetty - Sports Secretary.
After the delicious lunch, members and kids of the Sangha entertained the crowd with dance, indoor games and quiz programme along with the guests. Programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the general secretary. The National Anthem was sung at the end.
