TV journalist covering Vyapam scam suddenly takes ill, dies

Jhabua (MP), Jul 4 (PTI): A journalist working for a leading Delhi-based news channel today suddenly took ill and died after having interviewed parents of a girl who had been found dead near railway tracks after her name figured in the infamous Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Meghnagar near Jhabua town.

Akshay Singh, who worked for TV Today group, had today called on the parents of Namrata Damor, whose body had been found under mysterious circumstances near railway tracks in Ujjain district.

Namrata's father Mehtab Singh Damor said Akshay and two others visited their house this afternoon. After the interview was over, someone was sent to get some papers photocopied.

As Akshay was waiting outside Damor's house, suddenly he started frothing at the mouth. He was rushed to civil hospital and later to a private hospital, but doctors failed to revive him. From there he was taken to another hospital in nearby Dahod in Gujarat, where he was declared brought dead.

Jhabua district's Superintendent of Police Abid Khan confirmed that a person named Akshay Singh had died in Meghnagar.

At least 25 accused/witnesses have died so far in Vyapam scam, a massive admission and recruitment racket involving several bureaucrats and politicians, and the opposition Congress has been demanding a CBI probe into the matter.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur said the decision as to whether further probe was necessary into Akshay Singh's death would be taken only after getting the autopsy report.

"Let the post-mortem report come first...then we will decide on probing the issue further," said Gaur, who arrived here for an official tour.

About the significant number of deaths of accused in Vyapam scam, the Home Minister said the matter was before the court and also under investigation.

This country has never this sort of dance of death before. And not a statement from Namo , Amit Shah or even the SC which is stuck with glue .

It appears that a set of mass murderers backed by BJP with access to travel plans are loose on the prowl and yet no govt , central or state is seein in action .

What is the role of SC????..... Waiting till all evidence is destroyed and witnesses too terrified to testify so that they can the accused as innocents ?

Brainless BJP Bhakts will term this as a natural death.

Even a fool can understand that 40 untimely deaths of persons related to single scam can't be natural and these foolish BJP supporters can't smell anything fishy in river of blood.

even after so many deaths our Picnic Minister PM has nothing to say about the situation in MP and this scam.

In the front he keeps talking about technology and progress in India and behind the scenes his party men quietly keep murdering witnesses and whistle blowers against corruption.

This is the real evil & sinister "Gujarat model".

So far 26 people have been killed by henchmen from BJP using the infamous 'Gujarat Model'.

If INC is accused of corruption then BJP is taking corruption to another level by getting rivals and whistle blowers murdered.

    #vyapamscam now trending on twitter.

Congress is accused of scams, BJP is now accused of scams and murders.

Congress scams can be exposed, as Modi who promised the country is in power. In the past one year, we haven't seen anything happened, except for Amit Shah / Reddy getting bails. Feku Bhakts only too busy on social media abusing congress, but haven't gone any further convicting them in courts.

On the other side BJP scams are getting exposed day in and out, Sushma Scam / Raje Scam / Lalitgate/Vyapam Scam/ PDS scam and so on. Added to it, murders are happening of the witnesses and accused, to ensure they don't spill beans. They are all indians and if a BJP supporter feels happy about their death, that is sad.

The circumstantial evidence against BJP is mounting day by day on every scam and every murder. Yet, Modi is silent and BJP is evasive. No indian can be so blind.
